Dan Peek, Founding Member Of America, Dies

Dan hadn't been with the band in quite a while...I saw them once in some form or fashion.

Dan Peek, a founding member of the popular 1970s band America and singer of high harmonies on hits that included “A Horse With No Name” and “Ventura Highway,” has died, his father said Tuesday. He was 60.

At 27....After her failed comeback bid the singer was found dead at her home, it is being reported as a drug overdose but no official autopsy until the next few days. She was praised for her talent but had only been in the spotlight recently for her behavior and drug use. Her last album was in 2006-who knows what she could have become had she more control over her life-now a member of the infamous 27 Club....how about a picture of her in her better days....
